Tang Soo Do (Korean Karate)
Master Tradition and Build Character with ISK’s Tang Soo Do Program
At ISK Martial Arts, our Tang Soo Do program is the foundation of everything we do. Rooted in the traditional Korean art of Tang Soo Do, a form of karate, this program blends powerful kicking, precise striking, and dynamic throwing techniques—all taught with a focus on personal growth, discipline, and respect.
We are proud members of a World-Wide Tang Soo Do Association, meaning:
All ranks earned at ISK are internationally recognized
Students train under qualified, high-ranking instructors
You gain access to global seminars, competitions, and cultural experiences
This program is ideal for students who want a deep, meaningful martial arts journey. While competition is available, our emphasis is on self-development, technical mastery, and mental resilience. Each class strikes a perfect balance between friendly camaraderie and serious training—offering a rewarding path for beginners and advanced martial artists alike.
Our Culture
The strength of ISK isn’t just in our techniques—it’s in our people and the respectful, empowering culture we uphold every day. Whether you’re a beginner or a black belt, you’ll be part of a school that values integrity, focus, and shared growth.
Everyone is expected to bring a positive, respectful attitude and help create an environment filled with energy, encouragement, and a ‘can do’ spirit.
Belts are symbols of honor and progress, and must be worn properly with the uniform. Lost belts must be replaced immediately.
Instructors are always addressed as Sir or Ma’am to promote mutual respect and professionalism.
Staff and instructors are treated with respect by all—they are here to mentor, not just teach.
Gossip is not part of our school. We focus on building each other up, not tearing anyone down.
Everyone—students and parents alike—is expected to show kindness and respect to all members of our community.
Clean uniforms and good hygiene are essential. A fresh uniform reflects respect for yourself, your peers, and your instructors.
Any concerns are handled properly through our official complaints procedure.
Only approved ISK Martial Arts or Top Ten sparring gear may be used during training.
All gear must be inspected and approved by an instructor before it’s used in class.
The official ISK uniform is required for all classes. A clean, tidy appearance reflects our pride in the art and our dedication to excellence.
Our school is built by passionate, respectful, and community-driven individuals who make ISK a center for learning, growth, and lifelong martial arts training.
